Borneo Island.
Bordered by the western Pacific Ocean and the Sulu and Java Seas and intersected by the equator, Borneo is one of the largest
islands in the world. The northern third of the island is part of the nation of Malaysia and the southern two thirds are part
of the nation of Indonesia. A small third nation, Brunei, is on the west coast. Many Samal people live in Borneo, especially
along the coast of the north eastern Malaysian state of Sabah.
