The act of staying inside house following the performance of a ritual for which an animal was sacrificed for the spirits of dead relatives.
The belief is the family should stay in their house the day after an animal is butchered for the spirits of dead relatives so that all the benefits gained from the spirits by sacrificing to them will come to the family. If members of the family go out of the house the day after the animal has been sacrificed, then the benefits will be scattered about to others in the community rather than all going to the one family.
