To pray in order to prove that something is true.
Angad prayer is directed to Kabonian or kaapowan ’ancestors’. They are asked to judge whether or not something is true. For example, if two people claim something, then one of them can make an angad prayer that if one of them is lying then something will happen to him. The angad prayer can also be a curse. If a person thinks someone is lying but allows that person to go ahead with what he wants to do, the first person can make an angad prayer that something bad will happen to the other person if he is lying.
