To fetch (a newly married couple from the groom’s parents’ house).
After the wedding the newly married couple is taken to the groom’s parents’ house. Two days later they are taken from there to the bride’s parents’ house and that is called tingkuwang. In old times the couple was taken back to the groom’s parents’ house after another two days. This was called by the same term.
