tibbak
A species of plant that grows wild.
The bases of the leaves form the ‘stem’. The plant is approx. 1.50 m tall. The leaves grow on top. They are in shape similar to kilale and are green. The flowers are close to the ground and look similar to wild canna. The fruit stand is enclosed in leaves similar to maize. The fruit can be eaten as is. The leaves are used to line rice pots for cooking. Some don’t like it cooked that way.
