tambako'
The lower part of the leaf (of an areca palm and some ornamental palms).
In former times it was used as a plate or sewn up at the corners to make it into a bowl shaped container for rice, camote, cassava, etc. It is quite durable and can even be washed like dishes.
Ladjab isab tambako' inin.
This lower leaf is very wide.
Eddo'ku tambako' inin pagligiranku putu.
I get this lower part of an areca palm leaf for rolling steamed cassava.
