magsahaddat
To point the forefinger after ritual washing; to recite the Muslim statement of faith (with cupped hands after doing ablutions).
After having done ablutions and before worship a person stands facing west and cups his hands, recites the statement of faith silently, and then raises his hands to his forehead and brings them down to his chest ngula'up. Formerly people raised their right forefinger pointing upward while reciting.
When he has finished doing ablutions he recites the statement of faith.
