ley1
There; that.
The demonstrative causes a stress shift if it occurs following the head of a noun phrase (and therefore should be written joined to the noun). If it follows the pronoun of a verb phrase the stress shift does not occur and it is a free form.
Ine binellanu ley?
What are you cooking there?
Ine pinapīnu dem kalderoley?
What are you putting in that pot?
Ga' ta'essebku bang ine pina'inku ley.
I don’t remember what I said there.
