Variety of bamboo.
Larger than but similar to kānas, smaller than bātakan. It is ‘hairy’ where the leaves grow out of the stem. It has no thorns. It is used for coconut picking sticks sorok because it is thin-walled and light in weight.
I have a bamboo pole that I will make into a coconut picking stick.
