Crosspieces (in roof construction).
For a cogon grass roof smaller bamboo crosspieces are fixed to the supports kasew so that they run parallel to the roof joists selilihan. It is actually a double layer of bamboo strips. The upper one anak lasag is thinner than the lower one. The cogon grass is inserted between the two and folded over the thinner one. It is held down by the next layer.
The house can have the roof put on now; the crosspieces are already on.
