To do a double seam; to do a quick, clean seam (that won’t unravel).
For a quick, clean seam two pieces of cloth are placed with the cut edges on top of each other, folded over approx. one half centimeter and sewn near the cut edge. It is done either by hand or machine. It is often used in wide-legged pants sawal luha pa'a. For the double seam the two pieces of cloth are sewn near the cut edge then the cloth is turned inside out and sewn again so as to enclose the cut edge.
Do a quick clean seam when you sew.
