Imperata cylindrica and exaltata
It is used for thatching roofs. The seeds are sometimes used for stuffing pillows or mattresses etc. The exaltata variety is more common.
The roof of our house is cogon.
The fruit (fluff) of cogon is the stuffing in my pillow.
