It is often made of coconut shell or bamboo kanas with three points and is placed into the nose of a carabao in order to more easily lead him.

If a carabao has a hard nose (meaning doesn’t want to be pulled), one says this carabao should have a three-cornered piece of wood put in (it) so that he doesn’t have a hard nose.

Miniature tassel (of three threads).
Miniature tassels are often placed at the end of each thread in a tassle. A jampaka' can also consist of a triangular decoration on the end of tassels. Another type consists of the ends of tassels fluffed out in triangular shape by tying each thread a bit above the end so that it makes a loop as well as having the normal end. It then is trimmed so that there are three ends.
