A try at s.t. (as game or other action).

When I hit the ball (with the bat) don’t count it yet because it is only a try.

When I have a kicking-endurance-test, I try it out first.

Bang kew maglansang hantukun dahu' lansangin, maki popokun pinabasag.

When you nail s.t. give the nail a light tap first; then hit it strongly.
