Strap; rope. (Part of the gear of animals.)
The rope is fixed to the saddle pakel and passed under the tail to keep it from slipping over the head when going downhill. For going uphill a rope is fixed around the neck and attached to the saddle.
This rope I will use as a strap for the carabao.
To strap s.t., put a strap or rope (on an animal as described above).
When we suspend a load on both sides the rear end of the carabao is strapped so it (the load) won’t slip; if it is steep it should also be roped at the neck.
