To throw s.t. downwards (as a toy top); to throw s.t. down (at s.t. or s.o. very close by).
The -an imp. focuses on the object being thrown. The -un imp. focuses on the thing or person being thrown at. The pa--un imp. focuses on both the object and goal of the object and can be used interchangeably with -an imp. when the goal is specified.
