donga'
N-, pa-
-un, pa--un
To extend one's neck; to raise one's head up high (as when trying to see s.t.).
When N- is used, one is lifting up one's head to see s.t. It seems to be a bit more transitive than paronga'. The pa--un imp. focuses on the object being lifted up. The -un imp. focuses more on that which one is looking at.
Katawu-tawu bong sanduk paronga'.
It's scary when a cobra raises up its head.
kadongaan
(For plural actors) to be in a sustained position of lifting up their heads. [Donga'-donga' is used for singular.]
Kadongaan ga anak-anak looy lay takurat me' ku bay howap.
Those children are lifting up their heads because of being startled by my shouting.
