wāda

There is, was, are, were, someone, something; there are, were people, things.
Wāda han ohan algaw ya immūya' ad Umbūlu.
There was one day that I went to Cambulo.
A variant, (preferred form), i- occurs when this existential is followed by a demonstrative pronoun: ihtu There is, (are) here; ihna There is (are) there (near hearer); ihdi There is (are) there (not near speaker or hearer).
Ihtu han inyāli' an hanggapmu.
There is here (near me) the bolo which I brought.
wada is used to express possession, either temporary or permanent:
Waday dogohna.
She has a sickness, (lit. there is her sickness);
The form wāda or i- occurs only as the head of an existential phrase occurring as a comment. The form wa occurs here or as the head of a substantive or modifying phrase, see sections 7.7, 7.8.2 and 7.14.1.
Wa ay Aligūyun di nahamad an itagūan ti do'ol di payawna.
Aligūyun has a sound livelihood because he has many fields.
Wan ha''in nan pihhu an enggahmu.
I have the money you dropped.
Ginayang Manābung din lāman an wah nan ūmana.
Manābung speared that wild pig that was in his upland field.

For someone or something (patient ma-) to be in existence, especially as a result of a natural process, as birth, growth of a plant.
Awni ta mundadāana' hi ato' an munhābal at mawāday tānudmi.

For a woman (loc ref ma-an) to be with child (theme); i.e., to be pregnant.
Nawadāan han babāi an pa''alhin.
The woman who just got married is with child.
