A government decree or law.
Includes government laws against theft, ākaw, murder, patoy; decrees, either federal, municipal or village by government agencies, as a decree that every home must have a privy, kahhelya, that children of certain ages must attend a school. Social conduct is traditionally governed by unwritten laws for which fines, mota, are imposed. However, no word is used to refer to an indigenous law or decree.
For the government, a government agency or representative to declare something (theme i-), as a law or decree, as described above.
