Thatch wattles for the roof of a traditional house, baluy; hut, ābung; pile hut, inappal; evacuation hut, bakwit; made of arrow-grass canes, bilāu.
The thatch wattles of a traditional house are in pairs between a roof-ridge rafter, dūgu, and inside rafter, bughul, ulhud, and, when there are two inside rafter to a side, between two inside rafters. They are inserted under the upper-roof purlins, pāngal di tū'ul, and eaves purlins, putit, and tied to them with rattan.
