tūbub
A drainage conduit for ground water coming from the interior of a pond field, payaw, homesite terrace, bintaw, or burial tomb, lūbu'.
When ground water flows or oozes from the earth or rock slope on which a terrace is constructed, a narrow conduit, about 15 - 20 cm. in diameter is constructed of gravel to bring the water out of the interior. If the water is flowing from an earth slope and the source is within 90 cm. or less of the hard-packed basin floor, pānad, the water is brought vertically to the surface and used as flood water; below that depth, it is brought out horizontally through the wall below the basin floor.
