A family ritual-pond-field.
Nan puntonā'an di mahhun hi pangete''an di mumboto'.
The family ritual-+pond-+field is the place the harvesters begin.
Each owner of two or more sizeable fields in a given agricultural sub-district, hintumnong, has a ritual field, the largest of the parcel, where certain agricultural rituals for the family occur. It is usually the location of the seedbed for the fields of this sub-division; it is the field first transplanted and harvested; it is the location for sacrificing a chicken during the post-transplanting holiday season, ulpi, and where the ritual marker, ludho', is planted.
