Disguised speech is used especially when admonishing or advising someone about a matter too delicate to talk of directly. It is also employed to chaff someone; either spoken or sung, using a casual chant, liwliwa.

What the old folks do in casually chanting cannot be understood because the meaning of what they say is disguised.
