A warping frame for winding, hāud, the warp threads, ta'dog 2, the proper length and keeping them in sequence for weaving, obol.
It is constructed of five dowel pegs about 40 cm. long and 2« cm. in diameter. These pegs are pounded vertically into the ground roughly in the shape of a semi-circle. A person sits inside the circle threading the yarn onto the pegs in the proper sequence for a hand loom. The five pegs represent the following parts of a loom: waist template, ipītan; heddle stick, ginulun; leash stick, tubungan; warp spacing stick, leneppot; back warp stick, hapayan. When winding is completed, the loom parts are substituted for the pegs.
