A pigeon pea.
Boiled and used as a brothy moistener, hibul, for cooked rice or sweet potatoes. Sometimes vegetables, halawhaw, are added and boiled with pigeon peas. The boiled vegetables and pigeon peas are then removed and eaten as a side dish and the broth is used as a brothy moistener.
