A rice-stack mat cover; a cane mat, several of which are used together to wrap a stack of rice sheaves.
Newly harvested rice is stacked under a granary or house and brought out to dry for several days before storing; each night they are wrapped around with several mats as a protection against chickens, pigs, rats and anything that would destroy the sheaves; sometimes called ālag di ālang, Rice-granary mat.
