A decorative feather headdress, used as adornment for the head.
The headdress consists of a bunch of from two to four long chicken feathers. Males tie the feathers erect to the hair at the forehead at the hair part. Women tie them at the back of the head, plume-end down. May be worn at any time as personal adornment. It is a common adornment for dancing; young people wear it especially while courting.
