A relatively large building, as a house built to be lived in; a barn, church, school building.
A traditional house, baluy 2a, is for eating, sleeping, and serves as a place where rituals, bā'i, are performed. A kamalin, used as a dwelling, is a western-style dwelling, used as a place to eat, sleep, socialize, rest, read, for children to play, etc., but not usually for performing rituals. Such a house is sometimes built mainly for prestige purposes rather than as a place to live.
