This adverb is used in connection with the designation of the following: 1) The beginning and ending of a time period during which something is done or a state exists, `from...until.' Formula: time word or phrase + ta or hi + inggāna + -y (variant of di) + time word or phrase.

We will work from very early morning until early evening.
2) The beginning and ending locations of linear space, (as a path) along which something is done. Formula: place word or phrase + ta or hi + inggāna + -y (variant of di) or -d (variant of ad) + place word or phrase.

I walked beginning at Banaue until Mayawyaw.
3) A period of waiting, the end of which is marked by a time designation or an action or state, at which time something else is done or another state exists, `wait until.' Positive statement formula: inggāna + -y (variant of di) or -h un (variant of hi un) + time word or phrase or action or state verb + y + un + action or state verb.
Inggānay umālih Bāyaw ya un tu'u ete''a.
Wait until Bāyaw comes and then we will begin.
Negative statement formula: adi + action or state verb + -h (variant of hi) + inggāna + -y (variant of di) + time word or phrase or action or state verb.
Adi tu'u muntāmuh inggānay lemay algaw.
We will not work until five days (have transpired, at which time we will work).
