A bathing stone; a stone used to rub down the body while bathing.
A bathing stone is somewhat flat and of sufficient size to conveniently fit into the palm of the hand. The surface is regular but rough. It was used especially before soap became easily available, but is sometimes used to rub down the body before applying soap. The whole body, excluding the head is rubbed down.
