Signals that an action or state verb it inflects has a beneficiary role relationship to a substantive.
Iyanupan Pallakay nan imbaluyna ta way ihdāna.
Pallakay will chase-hunt for his son so that he will have (meat) to eat.
The past tense form of this affix is iɴ-an. These are discontinuous affixes without a close semantic relationship to either i-1, - or -an. However sound changes involving i- of this affix are identical to those of the affix i-1, and for - the same as for the affix iɴ-, past of i-1. For a description, see the entry i-1. Likewise, sound changes involving -an of this affix are identical to those of the affix -an; see description under the entry -an. See sec. 7.5.1.
