dūlaw2
A ceremonial headdress used during ma'āyiw and pāhang rituals.
A ritualist, mumbā'i, wears the headdress during the time he recites the ma'āyiw prayers. During the pāhang ritual, one of two dancing ritualists wears the headdress. Towards the end of his dance he holds it in both hands and passes it over the pigs( da'nul, dūhag). The headdress consists of a band woven of bamboo, ānoh, 6 or 7 cm. wide, with several wing or tail quills of a chicken, paya' 2a, tied together and positioned upright on either side of the band.
