Preparation day for a village; the following day either begins the post-transplanting holiday season, ulpi, a holiday for the eradication of worms, ālup, or a holiday when the family of one who has died violently, bināgung, offer hagawhaw prayers, go'go'. This latter preparation day is also known as bu'āyat. During this day, men get firewood, buy chickens, and rice if needed; the women dig sweet potatoes, harvest or borrow pigeon peas, oldeh, to add to the chicken in cooking. Preceding the post-transplanting holiday season, ulpi, the men engage in sugarcane-wine-making activities, hubul 2b.
