bu'lut
A square locust basket.
Used for gathering locusts, dūdun; now also used by children for gathering sweet potatoes or corn. The mouth, tīmid, is plugged with grass and carried horizontally on the shoulder. Also used to store dried corn on the cob. Woven of bamboo, ānoh, būlu, or rattan, uway, the body has longitudinal strips, odol 3, with ribs, bī'uh 1, tied to them, from 35 - 40 cm. square and 70 cm. high. It has a neck, woven with a plain-weave design, pa'an 1, tapering to a lip, bāli, about 13 cm. in diameter, tied on with rattan strips, uway.
