mamudūbud
Soil, gravel, and rocks are especially transported hydraulically, usually through a temporary sluicing ditch, gohang, in the construction and repair of terraces. Transportation is either to a work site to be used as terrace bed fill, or away from the site to discard it. Rocks up to 10 - 15 cm. can be thus transported. With a strong and sufficient head of water, and material piled for transporting, up to 10 cubic meters of material can be moved a substantial distance in an hour by one man.
