For someone (agent muɴ-, umi-) to open something, as a door or cover (theme i-), as described below, optionally using a suitable instrument (inst paN-).
pamo'tan
By ellipsis anything with a door or cover may be opened as a house, pig pen, prison, tomb, chicken basket, wine jar, etc.
Imbo'tan Bumallātung nan tibung at nabagāwah di ūluna.
Bumallātung opened a wine jar and so his head was inflicted with pain (by a bagāwah spirit).
This form is used to refer to opening anything with a lid tied on with a string, or to anything with a door or covering of an opening into an area allowing a horizontal entry.
