It is firstfruits harvest season in the central agricultural subdistrict because the rice is ripe.
This subdistrict is characterized as follows: it is the location of the ritual rice granary, panu'būngan, where rituals for rice agriculture for the central subdistrict and for the entire district are performed; it is the location of the ritual pond field, tona', for this subdistrict; it is the only subdistrict where firstfruits harvest season, udol, is observed. In Batad, besides the central subdistrict, called Babluy, there are five peripheral subdistricts, pingngit.

Babluy.
The name of a large housing cluster of Batad.
This housing cluster, located somewhat central to the central agricultural subdistrict, babluy 2, consists of three small housing clusters, hīgib: Liyug, Bā'an and Bagtūna. Other villages have similarly named clusters: large housing clusters in Cambulo and Maggol are called Babluy; those in Bangnga', Dale'an and Kinākin are called Buble.
