For a description of the expansion of a topic pronoun, and distribution of a topic pronoun or pronoun phrase, see -ami. Unlike -ami and other topic pronouns, however, when an agent or actor of the verb action occurs, -a' is suffixed to the verb and the agent or actor occurs as a referent following the pronoun.
Inyappohāna' ay Oltāgon.
I was chanted to by Oltāgon.
Hidin a'ung'ungnga' ya inyabbā+a' ay Īna.
When I was a child I was carried on the back by Mother.
