For someone or something (actor) to accentuate a dimension of a state of being, becoming, or an act of doing something (theme i-); as to accentuate its duration, intensity, severity, size, volume and the like.
Accentuation may result in either an increase or decrease in the dimension. Determination of this is indicated by the meaning of the adjective, noun or verb expressing the dimension.
Inyal'allan Bāyaw nan panagtagna.
Bāyaw accentuated his running (i.e., he increased the intensity of it).
Inyal'allan Innāwan nan ahe'he'dod nan tū'ud.
Innāwan accentuated the shortness of the foundation post (i.e., he decreased its length).
The dimension accentuated is expressed by the meaning of the act or state of being or becoming involved.
Inyal'allan nan datong di dimmo'olāna.
The flood accentuated its volume.
If the dimension can be understood by stating the agent accentuating it, it remains unexpressed:
Inyal'allan nan dogoh Dokkal.
Dokkal's sickness accentuated (i.e., became more intense).
When a dimension of a state of being or becoming is accentuated (semantically an intransitive concept) the person or thing characterized by the dimension is expressed as agent accentuating the dimension:
Iyal'allan nan +āyiw di umadokkōyona un ma'abunūan.
The tree will accentuate its becoming taller if it is fertilized (i.e., it will grow taller).
In the above examples the act or state which has an accentuated dimension is expressed as topic. Commonly it is expressed following an:
Inyal'allan nan lāman an limmayaw.
The wild pig accentuated running away (i.e., it ran away quickly.
