Chicken carrying basket.
Woven on the bottom, tīpa, with a hexagonal weave, pa'an 2, and on the sides with weaving ribs woven into the longitudinal strips continuing from the bottom, bī'uh 2. The basket is closed with criss-cross bindings, gā'ut, which lace the basket mouth closed. A closed basket for a single chicken typically measures about 30 cm. long and 20 cm. high; a larger basket for up to four or five chickens measures about 60 cm. long and 25 cm. high. Used for carrying chickens, as when bringing home from market, or when paid in chickens for work done for someone else; for carrying to the fields during field day, pītaw 2.
