A shed of warp threads in weaving, created by raising and lowering, tūab, the heddle stick, ginulun, of a hand loom, pa'ātan, against the leash stick, tubungan.
This is the space between two layers of warp threads across which the shuttle, hi'ītan, passes with the weft thread, pa'an. Up to three pairs of heddle and leash sticks are used and this allows up to three different sheds for versatility in weaving in various patterns.
