The wake lasts for nine nights, after which the family feeds all the people who came to the wake at a meal called the kataposan. During the nights of the wake, women pray the Holy Rosary while the men visit outside. Afterwards the host serves coffee and a snack, the adults visit, men play dominoes or cards and the young people play traditional games such as idal-idal. Some of the family and friends stay awake all night long, with lights on.
